With eight speeds ranging from 4 to 54 mph, the Dodge Power Wagon featured a four-wheel-drive design and weighed in at 5,809 pounds. During Tests F,G, and H an additional 1,057 pounds of cast iron were added to each rear wheel, with an additional 594 pounds of iron being added to each front wheel, giving a total operating weight of 9,110 pounds. Test G, run in low gear, produced a maximum pull of 6,480 pounds at 2.03 mph with a slippage of 12.82%. Using second gear, the ten-hour run of Test H produced a rated output of 30.64 drawbar horsepower, along with a pull of 2,615 pounds at 4.39 mph against a slippage of 3.59%. Fuel economy came in at 7.05 horsepower hours per gallon of gasoline for this test. No repairs or adjustments were recorded during 39 hours of engine operating time. The Power Wagon featured a Chrysler six-cylinder L-head engine. Rated at 1,700 rpm, and using a 3 1/4 x 4 5/8 inch bore and stroke, this engine had a 230.2 CID. Belt testing indicated a fuel economy of 8.63 horsepower hours per gallon of gasoline under a Test B and C 100% maximum load of 42.4 horsepower.Economy slipped to 7.97 horsepower hours per gallon against a Test D rated load of 36.77 belt horsepower. This vehicle provided to be an interesting conclusion to the 1950 testing season.
