Many thanks go out to Mac for organizing this past weekend's event. We had a small group, perhaps a mini-event, but we were joined by cowboys from the area, and their 1960 W500. For me and my 5 year old boy, the cowboys made the event something special. We watched the roundup, roping, and branding of the rugged longhorn cattle, which seem to be the best cattle adapted for the high desert climate. I felt like we had stepped back in time, it was very good.

Aside from some high winds, dust, and a few flat tires, I think everyone had a great time. Cooked (dead) cow compliments of Mac on Friday night, accompanied by a few cold ones.

The Sawyer twins were present, gung-ho as ever. Really enjoyed their company as usual. The drive home across the Pecos River Bridge, highest in Texas, was breathtaking to say the least. I was a bit sorry to have missed out on the PW reunion at Pandale as I passed the turnoff, but there is always next year.

Can anyone host a few photos for me??

Thanks again - AAA
