Rob,

Here is the best of forum post that Mike C posted a while back:

1. Make sure that the location on the Internet that you have your photo stored will support linking. If it is on your own computer only it will not work. It has to be on a server somewhere on the Internet.
2. RIGHT click on the photo when you are looking at it in Internet Explorer and on the context menu that pops up LEFT click on the very bottom entry, "Properties".
3. The box that pops up has a bunch of information about the photo, including the "URL" (unique location on the Internet of your photo). Using your LEFT mouse button, highlight EVERYTHING that is part of the URL, starting with the HTTP part.
4. With the URL highlighted put the point of the mouse directly on it and RIGHT click. Then LEFT click on the word "Copy". This will save the entire string so you don't have to retype it later. Close the dialogue box and return to the forum.
5. Start a posting on the forum. At the very bottom just above the "Post Message" button is the "Optional Image Link" box. Place the tip of your pointer directly in the box and RIGHT click. From the context menu that appears LEFT click on "Paste". This will put that saved URL that you copied earlier into the box.
6. Complete your message and post it. When someone views your message their computer will automatically go to the site where your photo is, retrieve it, and insert it into the message.

Basicly look below the box you write your message in, and you will see three boxes, put the URL of the link you want in the first box, put a name for the link in the second box (or NOTHING will show up), and put your picture URL in the third box.

Good luck!

Eric
