the big nut on the front hub is 1 and 3/4 inch and it is on tight! so i ordered a socket in case i or someone needs one at hollister(hopefully not) i bought it through my matco guy. it is not a matco cause they wanted 75 bucks for it i guess that it is a s&k i will see next week.just keep the bearings greased beacus they are pressed on the hub and nothing is cheap on that front axle. if the front axle gives you trouble it may be cheaper and better to go junkyard shopping and find a 44 with manual lockouts.gasw milage sucks on my truck but i like that beacus it pisses off the sierria club ilk. remember those are the same bastards who put mtbe in our gas.it may clean the air a bit but it poisons our water.
