suspension travel question

i'm in the process of designing a flatbed dump for my wdx. my question is how much distance should there be between the top of the tire and the underside of the flatbed to allow for suspension travel? i have 11.00x 16 michellins and i do plan on hauling the occaisional " heavy load ". thanks for any help, jim.
