Check the piston diameter on your master cylinder. It needs to be a minimum of 1 1/4" in diameter and Ray recommends one that is 1 5/16" dia. Did you put the firewall mounted peddle assmbly in or his under the floor unit. I put his under the floor unit in but used a different master and booster than he recommends. I have not put in my front disks yet. My WC 53 has his front disks and works OK. But I have a 1" diameter master cylinder which I need to replace. I got my master at a speed shop and it was not sized correctly. I have the correct master to put in. I do not have the same issue as you. The peddle pressure is a little high but I do not have to stand on it.

You should be able to pop you master loose with out disconnecting much and measure the bore on the back side if you have the firewall mounted unit.
