My boy, Jacob, did the same thing with me when he was about the same age. I was dropping the front driveshaft from my Dakota when I noticed he was fiddling around with the tranny. He had the right socket on the bolt. Boy was he mad he couldn't get it loose!
He's six now, and he still likes crawling under the trucks. We have fun with it.
So far all my two year old daughter likes to do is crawl behind the wheel and make engine sounds...
