Diamond Plate is a good substitute. I do not haul livestock and I do not need to lag bolt anything down. And I do not worry about scratching it much it does not need to be welded in and with a little work can have a nice appearance and be done where it can be removed so a nice floor can be put down once I decide All I will be hauling is a paint duster and matching show car chairs I admire all of you who go to the effort to put it back as it was but for those of you who need a sturdy floor for hauling tractor parts tools chains ,Dublin Dr pepper in the wood cases smoking wood by the half cord bobcat welders etc that is my>02 cents. Put one in the 46 the wc 12 will get a wood floor but it will be a cresote one from the local samill in Tolar ,Texas I put a great floor in my 67 GMC it was just great lots of work made it myself white oak , walnut, Mahogany hand rubbed etc the painter was re paintng some bed damage and just decided to help me out by spraying the inside of the bed with the excess paint including the floor still makes me sick after 21 years a 6 weeks working on that wood trying to get the luster right. Oh well sorry it was a bad memory had to get it off my chest thanks for reading.
