I hope that you do not think that any of this is directed personally at you. Your question was valid, and asked in good faith.
What you may not have known was that this question has been asked many times over the years, the advice to not tow with a dolly, to not tow with a small trailer, or to not tow with a Yugo has been given many times, and many times ignored.
More than once the advice has been ignored and the victim has been fortunate enough to survive and post here that the advice was sound and should have been followed.
We're just trying to prevent that from happening again so that you survive and live to rebuild your truck and post here often!
