...at how often this question is asked. Basically a car dolly is good to about 3,000 lbs. the W200 is approx. 5,800 lbs. Towing with a dolly is very similar to flat towing, with one fatal flaw, the ability of the front wheels of the towed vehicle to articulate simulates a 'double hinge', making the dolly and towed vehicle more prone to jackknifing under braking. If your tow vehicle weighs 6,000 lbs or less the W200 will push you right over a cliff. A dolly has no ability to brake, it is very, very dangerous to tow this way.
