And since collecting old trucks is seen by many as a "nonconformist" activity to begin with, best not to aggravate things unduly.

My twisted Canadian point is: Isn't what " terrorism" is defined by the perceived effects upon the "terrorized"? If someone is truly causing Mike to live in a state of fear and grief over the potential loss to himself and of his loved ones (his trucks), is he not indeed being terrorized? (bad use of rhetorical question) Not on a national, or global scale, but on a personal one. So indeed his neighbor is involved in terrorism. (It did seem like a good Get Even idea at the time though)

I fear this kind of thing happening at my place. The farmland across the road was sold to a developer who wants to build "lifestyle" acreages on it, and has rezoned it to "Country Residential". My side of the road is still "agricultural", and allows me to keep animals, vehicles, run a welding shop etc. The problem is that the new lots have higher ground, my place is part of their "view", and it doesn't look like the "golf course view" that city people seem to want when they get their dream house in the country. Their asking price for the lots is high enough that they haven't sold any yet, but I foresee troubles when they finally do. I will be transplanting a few hundred fast growing trees as close to the road as possible in hope that a "natural solution" will grow up before the new houses do.
