Yes sir, Lots of places to go off road in Alaska. Always stay in 2WD until you can't then get out in 4WD and not further in. The only times I've gone in a place 4WD was to pull those out that came out in 2x2 (2 feet) to winch them back out. Come to think of it, they've always been Ferds. Could just be a coinsidence. However, I did have to pull one 2001 Cummins Dodge out last summer with my 56 FF but it was my own 2001. Being dumb, trying to impress relatives visiting, trying to get back to a great fishing hole, ended up spending the day winching in stead of fishing. The 56 did impress the rellies though.
