Dodge has alway been against cutting or drilling on it's frames, unless specific instructions are followed, and even then every Factory Manual I have seen says,...NO.
Now that the new hydroformed frames are here I would think that it would be less critical, but I'd see it in writing, from D/C, first.
FYI; Dodge only makes one frame now, with several different sub sections that are welded in at the factory to accomodate the various wheelbases and load ratings. That tells me that the hydroformed frames are different from the tempered frames of old.
