I have had 2 1952 Power Wagons in the last year, both with low mileage one wit 4000 miles, and the other with 31,000. They both were primered with black paint, but if you look under the cab, at the underside of the floor, they were both a very light blue color.
I friend nearby has a very original '48 that he has been around since it was bought new. It has green paint, but where the paint is chipped on the bed it is yellow, then black. Almost like Dodge took a yellow bed, and resprayed it, and put it on the green truck.
The all the trucks with original paint have sags, runs, and oversprays all through them... I guess it was mass production of work trucks at the time.
