It's a 1940 VC half ton code. That engine number is very early in the production, maybe even too early to be a VC military engine? I spoke to Steve greenberg and his VC 1 has that code, but the engine number is five digits or even higher.

I've got a 1940 military VC 3 here with a later engine in, and I've been holding off an engine rebuild trying to find an original T202 engine, but being here in Scotland it would be big money to move it.

Of course if you were located close to (Townwagon) Eric and it was cheap he could just put it on my pile of bits?
