Clint, you're exactly right, the mint original P/W is very rare & no doubt in huge demand, problem is they are rare as hens teeth & the biggest problem is I can't remember a high profile sale of such a truck so it's impossible to estimate.
I think it's safe to say that there would be huge demand for either of your trucks or any like them. The biggest problem here is most P/W owners have a very different idea of what a mint original condition truck looks like compared to what a collector thinks & it is the collectors that drive the market.
It's all irrenevent because all of us would love to have a 1000 original mile mint condition truck but there are none for sale nore are any of us likely to stumble across one in the near future so to most, a restored truck is the only option unless you want one that many would consider an eye sore! Ha Ha!
Wilbur is the nicest one I've seen for sale in the past few months & Wilbur would only sell for 1/2 what a restored truck would sell for.
Why? Don't ask me...I don't buy restored trucks. I've only ever bought one & I had to sell it because I realised I enjoy the work more than the truck!
