Depending on when you bought the truck from him, relative to when I moved to Idaho, there was a period of time when I didn't get back to Calif., during some very lean times here, trying to get established. In those days no one in Idaho trusted any one from Calif. Gary had a way of "adopting" people as his uncle, so I never knew Jack Mann. He once told my two sons that John Wayne was his uncle. He was a great guy, and quite a character. Seven years older than me, and really my half-brother.
