Looks like her dad's more worried about her going fast on her scooter than the radiation she's riding through. He's given her the pass to get in that place, too, so he must know what he's doing.
But I'm with you guys. I wouldn't want my kids to go visit a place like that. Looking at the pictures she took left me feeling the same as the movie "Schindler's List" did. Such loss...
