Along the lines of what Paul says, on my 2001 which is probably wired the same, the pigtail is up under the dash near the steering column. I went to the dealer and bought an inexpensive Mopar wire hook up kit. I put the controller in myself, it was easy with the kit and the prewired pigtail.
