Rear Alignment Question Due to Frame Repair

My 67 WM300 has a frame crack and repair just forward of the front mount for the left rear spring. Whoever made the repair removed the mount and bolted a 3/16"-1/2" thick plate in between the outside of the frame and the mount. This is all well and good, with one exception: the addition of the plate moves the spring perch outward in the front by 3/16"-1/2".

As a consequence, the left rear spring sits at an angle to the frame, rather than parallel to it. This throws the rear axle out of alignment. I'm concerned the truck will be fighting itself going down the road, with the rear headed to the left and the front having to compensate by steering to the right.

This will be an all around work/play/show truck, probably with bias-ply road tires. How bad a problem is this? Any suggestions for how to correct it?

Thanks!
