This, as was said earlier, makes a lot of sense. I am a building contractor and not a mechanic. I have done my share of working on my trucks through the years, mostly Dana 70 or 60 front drive units. I admit I have never had a front drive unit for a WDX apart and really don't have a valid opinion. I do believe that anyone who uses the EZ Flow Lithium Grease I mentioned previously will find it to be satisfactory and leakage is almost impossible. I plan to use it if and when I am into the front drive unit on my B-1, because I believe it will work without contaminating the wheel bearings, or infiltrating into the differential and will provide continuous lubrication to the knuckle. I think the whole key is what the engineers intended to do with what they had to work with. Everyone has had a lot of good additions to this discussion. JH
