I agree with you, Canuck. I understand Josh's point about folks hanging out in the blind spot, but ultimately, every driver is supposed to be aware of his surroundings, and that includes being aware of people who have moved into your blind spot. I try to keep an eye on everyone around me, as I approach them, or as they approach me, although I probably don't do as good a job as I should.
Josh: As for the motorcycle (my boss calls them "Donor-cycles"), if traffic is difficult for you right now, it will probably be much worse when you are on a motorcycle. I have a saying about motor cycles, when it comes to accidents: "My fault...the other guy's fault....it doesn't matter....if I'm on the motorcycle, I'm the one who gets hurt or killed" If a car and a motorcycle get into an accident, not much happens to the occupants of car, but the guy on the cycle usually gets torn up pretty badly.
