It sounds like you've put lots of thought into it Clint but I still disagree.
That plug in the bottom of the knuckle isn't called a "Level Plug" because they wanted the knuckles filled but couldn't find a better location up top!
It's an interesting debate. I respect your opinion & know you've been around Power Wagon's longer than most of us including myself but what you're saying just doesn't make sense in my mechanical head!
If they didn't intend fluid grease in those knuckles then it's a very, very poor design.
