Type F fluid has aggressive friction characteristics. When used in a 727 or a 904 it makes the clutches and bands grab faster. Making shifts firmer. The down side is Type F doesnt have the lubricating ability that the Dexxron fluid has that the 727 and 904 need. You will wear out your transmission faster using type f. Type F also has more detergent then Dexxron and will clean really well. Putting the F is a used 727 or 904 could clean it out to the point something may get clogged up and fail.

The best thing for a 727 or 904 is to keep the throttle pressure linkage adjusted and keep the line pressure up making the transmission shift firmer on its own. Not letting a fluid make the shifting firm.
