Not only would abandoning property in your custody be morally wrong, you could be legally responsible to the owner once he comes to claim the truck. The value of the truck is way beyond a small claims issue and you could spend way more than $10,000 on attorneys fees to defend yourself. Stop screwing with this and take the precautions I outlined in yesterdays post. You have to start and document a paper trail and you need to keep the truck from being harmed until you A) find the owner, or B) reclaim the truck as your property.
