My experience with older 1/2 ton 2wd Dodge trucks of the late 40s & early 50s vintage are that most beds are either 6-1/2 ft or 7-1/2 ft long, as for the 1 ton trucks I can't recall seeing any 1 tons from that period,(except PWs) All 46 - 68 standard flat fendered Power Wagons have 8ft beds, perhaps the 2wd 1 tons did too.
