I have tried to go onto DMV website to find out about registered farm vehicles but they dont seem to have much.

The historical vehicle seems to have much in the way of restrictions as well. For instance, if you were to drive to the gas station to fuel up, that would be illegal.

I do know there is farm registration in California that allow a farm truck to be driven occassionally on roads, not just between fields, at reduced rates, however the restriction is that you can't carry farm labor. I drive in the Sacramento Valley all the time, particularly during duck season and rice harvest, and know exactly what Norm is saying.
