That seems to be what I remember. You are allowed to drive one mile only on paved roads. I suppose that if your farm is longer than a mile you may be in trouble! In Kern County you have to keep an eye peeled for the trucks and impliments as they traverse from one field to another. It can be quite a start to be travling at 65 mph and in an instant 45 feet of irrigation pipe pass in front of your eyes. = )
