I looked around the DMV site a bit and this is all I could find. It appears to me that if you register as a farm vehicle, it can not be driven on the highway unless you are crossing one to get to another field. Never seen a truck on the road yet sporting a farm vehicle license, but then again, Los Angeles might not be the best place to be looking.
