The M50 is a potable water tanker, equipped with a total capacity of 1000 US Gallons.

The M49 is a gasoline tanker, with a total capacity of 1200 gallons. Remembering that gasoline is lighter than water, the truck therefore has a larger available payload, in gallons.

The MGVW for the M49 is 21,755 and the MGVW for the M50 is 23,688.

They are both available thru the surplus market, and are capable of pressurized or gravity delivery. Maybe your friend would be better off buying a complete truck, already built this way, rather than trying to reinvent something.

Just a thought. apb
