The following data are taken from Technical Manual No. 9-8022 and Technical Order No.36A12-1B-271, dated 17 December 1954:

M35 weights:

net (w/o winch) 12,465
net (w/winch) 12,880

payload-crosscountry 5,350
payload-highway 10,350

Gross maximum 23,230

Notes:

Net weight: Weight of fully equipped vehicle (as supplied) in operating condition with fuel, lubricants and water, but without crew or payload.

Payload: Weight of cargo or passengers, including crew, which may be safely imposed on vehicle.

Gross weight: Weight of vehicle fully equipped (as supplied) and serviced for operation, including crew, plus maximum allowable payload of cargo or passengers.

Of all the M44-series trucks, of which the M35 is the most common, the M59 Dump Truck has the highest maximum gross weight, at 24,810 pounds.
