These guys are on the money. Ignore what is printed on the cap. Pull a plug or two, then hand crank the motor and line everythin gup to TDC. Take note of where your rotor is pointing. That will be the No.1 plug setting. Go from there and wire the engine up per the correct firing order, which in the case of an M37 engine is 153624. The engine doesn't know where the no.1 plug is supposed to be, and it doesn't matter so long as the prescribed firing order is the same.

In my truck, someone installed the oil pump in 180 degrees off. So instead of the no.1 plug setting being at about the 8 o'clock position, its at 2 o'clock. I wired my truck up accordingly and it runs fine.
