It depends on what engine and transmission you are using. I've mated an NP435 to a formerly auto trans 360LA and did not have to cut the input shaft. Mopar didn't have the special pilot bushing at the time (or at least none of the parts guys knew about it) so I had to have some machining done. The machine shop reduced the OD of the bushing to fit the existing hole in the crank. The price then was $15.00. I would expect to pay more now.
