if it was me i would have the concrete at least 6 inches thick! beacus if you have a thinner floor no one will put a carlift in your shop.it is cheaper to do it once right then fool around with it again.heck my driveway is 6 inches thick and has realbar(not the mesh junk poeple use when they build idiots)the guy did it right for us. it cost us some $ but save your cans and bottles if you want to save money. don`t save it on concrete
