Well, I have thought about the OD, but theres no way your going to get a drop in 4BT with a OD transmission for $5k.

This is the thing, I think I can get 4-6 Cummins 4BT units with the GM 4speed shipped to a nearby terminal for $2500 a copy. These are used but good running bread truck takeouts. I figure another $1500 to have them gone through by Cummins NW provided they dont need any major work. Then put together a kit to bolt it into the existing chassis using the original transfer case. I could provide a couple of extra springs for the front end, but if someone has a sick front spring pack to start out with, that's not going to do a hell of a lot of good.

All the gearing, tires, brakes and all that is available from other vendors, so I would let the end user take care of that.
Same with a NV 5400...
I mean, if you tried to market a full kit with disc brakes and the whole package as one shot with a od 5 speed, rebuilt 4bt, etc etc etc, the price is going to be out of this world. I imagine $10K+. And let's all be honest here on the forum... we're all too cheap to spend that kind of loot in one shot.
If you could get the engine and transmission, so you could drop it in and run it... keeping in mind that down the road you could do your own upgrades as finances and time permit... would it be worth $5k?
I'm talking about buying in bulk here so everyone saves money in the long run. If I make one kit, why not make 5 more duplicates?
