Today I spent 6 hours trying to remove my right front drum. It's on a 1950 PW with 26K miles on it, so they may not have been removed in the last 53 years. Both left drums came off last Sunday. Removed the brake cyl. bleeder screw, aligned the arrows on the adjusting cams, and used a prybar between the drum and the backing plate to pull, and hammer taps (blows) from behind to remove. Both left drums cam off fine, This last one took me six hours with no progress. Any ideas? Also, all the pistons in the wheel cylinders are frozen in place. Should I fix the drums, or go with a disc brake conversion?? Anyone have experiences with these? Thanks for any and all help.
