Jonas is right. I found this out when redoing mine. The military used thicker steel for the sides than the 1939 -1947 2WD trucks used. The pockets are the same other than the militarys have a bracket welded in the inside of the pocket to hold the bows up. The headboard and the tailgates are the same thickness steel. Militarys have no Dodge logo on them and different latches on some. Hope this helps, Kevin
