Hey everyone!
I got a dodge truck running a very tempermental 440. I want to get a new igniiton system for it and have it narrowed down to the following 3 options:
I can get a Mopar replacement from summit which is a distributor, wiring harness I think ECU and ballast resistor. Basic stock replacement.

MSD has a pro-billet distributor, ignition control box and coil. I think I still need to run the stock ECU and ballast resistor.

Third option is a DUI(Davis unified ignition)
which is a HEI system to run on the dodge which only requires running the hot lead.
You don't need the ecu or the ballast resistor.

What are your thoughts or what are you running? The engine I know nothing about. It is running a Holley double pumper and seems to have a fairly aggresive cam. It will move fairly quickly when it is running good and happy.

Thanks,
pieter
