I should have mentioned that I am cleaning my wheels up for new tires. I thought I might be ahead to get the wheel in balance before I mounted and balanced the tires.
I suppose I could do as you suggest and just get the tire and wheel balanced together. I have found a shop that will balance the tires when I get them mounted.
