The pres. was told, (in a bar), of some junk cars on a power line right of way that could be taken for scrap. (Scrap back then brought some serious money). So we went on a trailride and with our guys trucks and Jeeps, buck, snorted, ripped and teared on a couple of the cars till the frames almost came out of the trucks/Jeeps.
Soon the nearby farmer and son showed up on the tractor wondering what was going on ----
Turned out the cars was his fence line to keep the cows in on the right of way having been given permission by the power company to do so.
So we were given some (bar) mis-information.
Years later I see that the farm is out of buisness and the cars are gone.
