I use to have drawings of the cab for the ff PW. They were quite detail drawings and described the doors and etc. Someone on this forum mailed them to me. I will look and see if I still have them.

First thing you need to do is to make sure that the cab is sitting square on the frame. Check all the mounts for missing or damaged blocks and reset and tighten as needed. I will assume that your frame is straight. If not then have it straightened. I have seen a lot of cracking around the doors from cab flex. One the body is sitting straight on a straight frame then I have moved the door posts and etc back to their original position based on the broken welds and rewelded them.

In terms of the doors popping open, you need to check for wear on the catches. Look at both sides (on the door post and on the door. You can fill in the warn/missing areas with weld then grind/file to shape. I have done this on all my doors. Then you need to adjust the fix the hinges. The pins had frozen in my door so the holes in the door side of the hinge were oblonged and too big. I marked the original centers of the holes on the hinge with a chisel (made a + on the hinge) I then drilled out the holes to a standard size and inserted plugs made of round stock and welded them in place. I then drilled the correct size hole at the marked center. I also cleaned out and lubed the hinge part that mounts to the door frame. I then put the door back on (with new pins) and adjusted the hinges so that the door sat square in the opening. Adjusting the door hinges is basically done by moving the hinge piece that is mounted to the cab forward or to the back of the truck with a block of wood and a hammer. You can get some in and out motion by loosening the hinge door post bolts. These bolts are often rusted and had to get loose.

Now adjust the repaired door striker to the door catch.
