They were originally designed to be expendable vehicles for raids in Norway, but as far as i know never used for that.
To answer the other question, Tuckers and Weasels both sit on top of the snow. The difference is in the turning action. Weasels brake one track which tends to make the inside track dig in and slow down, whereas four track tuckers articulate which lets you keep the power on to all four tacks with no digging in.
hey, at least four tracks normally have Dodge engines.
