The combat rims are a "Bead lock" type rim. With the center ring installed the bead is squeezed between the inner ring and the outer rim which is the same as some modern bead locks. The combat rims were designed as a "run flat" rim that would keep the flat tire from coming off and wrapping around the axle. They were used on the 3/4 & 1 1/2 ton WWII Dodges starting in '42. They should bolt on to your '41 WC without any problems.

Never bolt 1/2 ton rims onto a 3/4 ton as the offset is not enough on the 1/2 ton rims for 3/4 ton brake drums.
