I know a man who walked into a hotel, walked through the open doors of the elevator and fell to the bottom of the shaft, since the elevator was elsewhere at the time. For 2 days he was in the bottom of the shaft more or less unconscious. When the elevator came down it sometimes hit him on the head (presumably when he was starting to come to and trying to get up) He has a big ole' dent in the side of his head from that. Yes, hats fit funny. It sort of effected his thinking too.
