My 76 dodge 3/4 4x4, with a 400 V8 has recently acquired a slight click noise. The engine has about 70,000 miles. Normally on a super cold day, firing the truck up would cause the same clicking, but as soon as it warmed up would cease. Now in the last couple of days it has become a constant clicking at idle, acceleration, etc. I added oil, and that didn't seem to help at all. The valve guides need to be replaced anyway, but the clicking is slightly irritating and I rely heavily on this truck as it is my sole transportation.
Any good ideas/advice on what to look for, or how to diagnose this problem??
