I never trust any kind of masonry (concrete blocks, bricks, rocks, etc) to hold any vehicle up. The problem is that they don't like loads concentrated in one sharp point (as is always the case with vehicles) and they fail suddenly and without warning. Even in old buildings, railroad bridges, etc where you have steel beams bearing on masonry, they they use a steel plate grouted to the top of the masonry to spread the load evenly.

Maybe they don't have used railroad ties, mine timbers, or trees where you live, but I think your life is worth buying a few 2' pieces of 6x8 or 8x8s.
