Saftey is so important!I'm not here to preach to anybody, but nobody wants to die when working on their vehicles. I know that some of the practices and advice given regarding mechanical work I've seen posted on this forum leave me shaking my head. I have been a licensed technician for over twenty years and seen my share of accidents, even when people are trying to be safe.
If you are doing split rims, use a cage or get a professional to do them. Don't use gas to clean parts, use proper tools and lifting equipment when lifting heavy objects. Use proper jack stands, cinder blocks are no good! If what you are doing looks or seems scary or dangerous, it probably is. I would hate to hear about one of the guys we know are not with us anymore because of stupidity. Just my two cents worth.
Cheers! Garth Q
