I've always heard that reason as well. Makes me wonder if vehicles that went overseas (England) had the locks on the other side as the would park in the oppisite direction. If not maybe thats why people always thought we were out to get them! Kevin

According to my extensive research (OK, OK, I asked somebody who has one) his RHD Dodge made in the US and Canada for export had one door lock on the drivers side (RH side) i.e exactly the same as the US setup, not reversed or adapted at all.
