when restoring my command car, the tank was not repairable. i had a tank made using the orig fill neck and fuel sender boss. i installed a nos fuel sender and mounted it on my frame. I never put gas in it. a year later in london i bought a nos tank and removed the fabricated one. it is now for sale. paid $400 or so for it without the sender. want $150 for it. i live on long island and the ideal would be someone local (tristate area) coming to get it as its heavy and like all fuel tanks subject to abuse by the boys in brown. let me know if the tank could help your restoration.
