It just all depends on how bad you want it. I bought my 41 open cab for $400.00. At first the old guy would'nt sell it to me. I kept going by and seeing him and he kept saying "not for sale". Then one day while talking together we discovered that he and my Grandfather had grown up together.. Five minutes later he got up and walked into his shop and walked out with what turned out to be the "crank" for the motor. He said if your Raymonds grandson then your taken this thing home today. With that he slide the crank through the hole in the front bumper and four turns later it fired. That was the first time in my life that I had seen a vehicle actually started with a crank. I'll never forget it. By the way this truck had less than 11000 miles on it and Paul had owned it since 1942. The $400.00 he was charging me was the same price he had paid for it at a Goverment auction back in 42. The truck was complete minus the tail gate. It had two or three "small dents" and absolutly NO Rust. California's good for that part anyway.Buying old car's and trucks is like realestate. "WE THE BUYERS" set the "VALUE" for an object..if you and I and ten others are willing to pay $5000.00 for that truck than thats what the market will be for that object. If NONE of us will pay that then it's to much. One more thing, awhile back I bought a "used" cummins diesel 4x4. In the past six months I've had five guys stop me and tell me that they "Could have" and "Should have" bought that truck. Everyone of these guys saw it and had a chance to buy it before I did.My wife has had two people do the same thig while she was driving it. I think I paid Maybe $1000.00 more than I should have? BUT I HAVE THE TRUCK NOW! And have not seen another one for sale since then..{IE} "supply and demand".I know this ran on the long winded side of thing's.Talking about Powerwagons does that to me everytime.. The deal's ARE out there, the question is how long do you want to wait?? Or how much do you want to spend NOW and get started..only You know..
